Dreaming Up

Why is play vital to learning? Enter a world of clay snowmen, Lego propellers, and tissue-paper parachutes to see through the eyes of children how open-ended challenges drive discovery and build character. The maker movement may conjure 3D printers in the public imagination, but the underlying processes of maker education indicate a way of thinking available to all, no matter what materials you have to start.

This short documentary was filmed over the course of a month spending time in and around the Wooldridge Elementary School in Austin, Tx.
